Easter weekend visit

We visited Blackshaw Moor over the Easter weekend. Check in was very organised and the wardens were very friendly. The site is well laid out and all pitches have views of The Roaches. As previously commented the site is kept very tidy and the two toilet blocks are very clean. There is some noise from the road but it is not intrusive. Tissington Water is close by and good for a short or longer walk (red or yellow routes) - you'd need to check with them regarding cycling. There are 3 pubs within 1 1/2 miles so all walkable and The Winking Man is only a couple of miles away in the direction of Buxton. For sports fans The Winking Man has BT Sport but they seem to have limited opening times so call first. Apart from the local pubs, the Roaches Tea rooms are well worth a visit - their warm, freshly made fruit scones are to die for. We left Blackshaw Moor site early due to the heavy snow that was forecast but enjoyed our visit and would visit again if coming to the area another time.
