We arrived when the site had only a few pitches left out of 89 hardstandings, and at first I was disappointed with our pitch backing onto the main road. I need not have worried though, the road really wasn't too noisy, although we could hear the old speed junkie driving crazily fast up the main road . The site is immaculate and the facilities block always warm-rather small though-a queue for a shower developed every morning. The wardens are friendly and recommended good walks-beware cattle grids if walking across the hills behind the site-you  can't get through unless you can carry your dogs across. The dog walk was welcome, and the bark chipping helpful because it was very muddy-just a few more to finish the path please!! We will definitely be back-and will arrive early next time-aim for a pitch high up at the back of the site if you can.
