Despite being a club member for a number of years and living in North Staffordshire all my life, I am ashamed to say that I had not previously stayed on this site! My partner and myself have just had the most relaxing and enjoyable 5 days on one of the spacious fully serviced pitches which gave a fantastic view of the Roaches. The welcome on arrival was as good as it gets .... a highly efficient check in delivered with a genuine warmth and friendliness which set the scene for the entire break. The Peak District has much to offer and besides Leek, the towns of Ashbourne, Matlock and Buxton are within comfortable driving distance. There are an abundance of walks for all abilities nearby and Tittesworth reservoir is just over a mile away with a lovely circular walk of 7km plus a good cafe to end in. A fraction further on is the Lazy Trout pub which combines real ales and superb food in a most picturesque setting ... a visit to this club site won't be complete unless you sample this hostelry! I can't recommend this site highly enough and will be returning again soon.
