We visited in mid October and although we had a good time we were disappointed by the lack of dog walking from the site . We had to use the car to access good dog walks ,there is a nice dog walk on site but it takes 10 minutes at the most to walk around this .The reservoir nearby is excellent for dog walking but is accessed by a busy road with no pavements so we used the car ,its only a 5 minute drive .The site itself is tiered and if you go to the back there is no road noise from the busy road nearby ,the wardens are very friendly and helpful and keep the site in a lovely condition , and the chip van which visits is bonus . The scenery is wonderful and there are plenty of nearby attractions to visit . We won't go back only because we choose sites with direct access to dog walks .
