Many Thanks!

We only stayed one night but were dismayed & embarrassed to find we had run out of gas, for the first time, both cylinders, just as the meal was prepared and going in the oven! The office had closed but staff were most helpful & cheerful and sorted us out!

Great site.

We stayed at this site for 11 nights and thouroughly enjoyed ourselves. There is much to see in the local area and the facilities on the site are superb. The site team keep everything wonderfully clean and well serviced and are very friendly and helpful. We will be going back.

Comfortable and welcoming site

We stayed here for 3 nights early in July. A nice site set among trees. The wardens are particularly friendly and helpful. The large pot of herbs growing outside reception with an invitation to pick and use is a nice touch. We found the site has a nice comfortable, welcoming feel to it and we wondered if this is connected with the areas former use as a Polish resettlement camp. There is some road noise but we didn't find it obtrusive. The nearest pub is the Three Horseshoes which is about five minutes walk away on a footpath alongside the road. The pub/ hotel is busy with good food and drinks. The near bye Tittesworth Water is worth a visit and although we walked to it, it would be better to take the car if possible as the road wasn't really suitable for pedestrians.

A pleasure to stay here

Arrived a bit late and went to the Camping and Caravan Club site first, pesky SatNav!! A lovely quiet site with friendly wardens and clean facilities. Only a stopover on our way to the Lake District and wish we had more time to explore the area with it's lovely villages and vistas. Took my imaginary dog for a walk along the path around the site set aside for dog walkers, seemed very clean, no dog mess or bags hanging in trees. Interesting history to the site.

Best Caravan Club site

We spent two weeks at this beautifully laid out site - the wardens keep the grounds and facilities in fantastic condition and this is certainly the best club site we've been on. Apart from being very friendly, this is also the only site we've been on where the wardens wives/partners mow the grass and cut hedges as well as the men! We gave a slightly lower score for peace and quiet because of traffic noise from an adjacent main road, but certainly not enough to spoil our enjoyment.

Three superbe days

Despite only having time to stay for 3 nights we rate this as among the best sites we have stayed on. The pitches were large and well organised, the facilities left nothing to be desired, the wardens were the friendliest possible and had obviously worked tremendously hard to make Blackshaw Moor so attractive. Above all they were unfailing in their helpfulness, kindness and good humour. I highly recommend this site.

Best site ever

Just spent a week at this site, can't praise the wardens enough so friendly and they had a real sense of humour, everything about the site is well looked after from the toilet block to the grounds even down to the flower pot man sitting on the gate and to top it of it's set in a beautiful part of the country.

Loved this site

We had a weekend away with our new caravan. The site staff were extremely helpful and showed us what we needed to do! It was dog friendly and had a lovely little walk, which was muddy due to the amount of rain! Had a lovely day out at Buxton and on the Roaches and returned to a chop van -amazing fish and chips. Thank you!

Great part of the world

This is a magnificent site with large terraced pitches set in great countryside, the only fly in the ointment is its proximity to the A53 which is the main route from Leek to Buxton and therefore daytime traffic noise is quite harsh and loud at times. However further from the road and inside the van its OK and the wardens work non-stop to provide a great pictureque and floral experience.
