Great site

We stayed on this site over Halloween Shelia and Anthony work really hard to keep the site to a very high standard they are an asset to the club, there was a problem with the gas supply to the toilet block but they worked really hard making sure everyone on site was made aware of the problem.  Shelia and Anthony work constantly out side emptying bins and collecting leaves Thank you for a great stay will return next season .

Great site for Alton towers

We stayed on this site for 3 nights as it was one of the nearest sites to Alton towers. It was about 30 minutes from the site. The site was clean and tidy and very quiet as we went mid week. The only downside for us was as soon as it went dark outside the site was very poorly lit to the point you couldn't see where the road was to walk on to the toilet block.

Great short stay

We stayed at this site for 2 nights on the way home from the Lakes. The site is well managed and in a good location for Peak District visiting. The facilities are clean and plentiful and the serviced pitches with own water is a good feature. Would list again if in the area.

Excellent

Having had a operation a few weeks ago we decided on a fully serviced pitch at a local site for our final trip of the year. I had mains water connections but at Blackshaw Moor the connection point was in between the two vans. My pipe didn't reach but the wardens came to my rescue loaning me his own water pipe and connecting piece to help me set up. All this took 3 visits in total so a big hearty thanks for all the support especially as I couldn't lift anything heavy. We had a great weekend and the site was perfect. Once again thanks

Brilliant Blackshaw Moor

We have recently returned from a 3 night visit to this CC site and it just wasn't long enough. We met up with our Son, his Wife and the Grandchildren, the kids loved the play area, so they were happy, and we were all happy with our choice of site for the family get together. The whole site is so well looked after, the shower block was warm and so clean and welcoming. The wardens were friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. There is plenty to do and see in the area, in fact it I feel it is a very underestimated area in terms of visitors. We will most certainly be back and hopefully for longer next time as there are a few good walks in the vicinity that we would like to do, and places to visit. Even a walk around the site is interesting as it used to be a Polish camp during and after the war where refugees and Polish service men and women were housed, there are original photos and information around the site, a nice touch I thought..

Wonderful Wardens

We had a very busy weekend having attended a wedding & rushing to the site afterwards to quickly pitch so we could get to the wedding breakfast at The Three Horseshoes a few hundred yard away. The wardens were excellent getting us sorted in minutes. We also had a problem with our dog the next day and the wardens gave us help and information about the best vet to visit, who was really good too. I would highly recommend this site for it's cleanliness, position and mainly for its super friendly helpful wardens. Six ticks for you if I could!

One of the Best

Super site, very well manicured. Wardens put a lot of hard work and personal touches into making this a flagship site. Very dog friendly and in a super location. CC should award sites with gold stars and award this site 5* love going to this site, and thank you to the wardens for making it so nice for us. Thanks

Excellent site

If a certain Danish lager brewery made caravan sites they would probably all be like blackshaw moor. It is beautifully maintained in every area, from spotless toilet and shower facilities down to the manicured hedge rows between pitches. Set in one of the most picturesque locations in the country, you are spoilt for choice as to where to head for first. From the rocky outcrops of the Roaches to the waters of Tittesworth resovoir all within easy walking distance. There's plenty to quench your thirst for the outdoor life.

Beautiful site

What a lovely site with friendly helpful wardens, spacious hard standing pitches and good clean facilities. Site is in a good location for walkers and is very dog friendly. Lazy Trout pub highly recommended. Would be wonderful if all CC sites were as spacious and well laid out as this one!
