Awful noise and made to feel uncomfortable

This is the 4th year we have stopped here however this time may be my last. We booked on for 7 nights and sited our caravan. Like everyone we are there to relax and have a lovely time with our family however the first night the noise, music, singing and boom boom boom that came from the pitches down from us carried on till 1.45am in the morning. The people next to us asked if they could move the next day due to the noise that was coming from there. We thought that this would sort the problem out and that we would get a good night sleep the following night. How wrong was we. We went to bed at 11pm all quiet but then at 11.30pm it started. Loud music, shouting, scream till 3am. The people were unapproachable and made us feel uncomfortable. The next morning we went to speak with the warden about this and he did a walk around the site at 10pm and because it was quiet he thought that everything was ok but he had spoken to the people due to others complaining. The gentlemen in the caravan came out that morning and made us quite aware that he was not happy with us which made us feel really uncomfortable to be n our caravan on site. Finally at 6.30pm that night they decided to leave due to another incident happening on site. Caravan club go on about curfews at 10pm and so on however they do not enforce this when they are broken. We found out after not just one caravan but 5 left that they were travellers on site. I have nothing against travellers however we should all be treated the same if we break the rules we should be asked to leave the site not just ignore what is happening.

Lovely sunny break

Just returned from another lovely break . Like others we’ve been here many times snd noticing it’s now looking tired. Toilets snd showers only checked snd cleaned daily and half are closed off to avoid wardens cleaning them which at weekend is not helpful . The hedges are dangerous with long brambles ( I was cut on head by one ! ) coming through snd I can’t ever remember them bring so untidy . Pitches large and plentiful choice on arrival . In previous warden times hedges snd pitches were kept very neat snd in order but now appear a big challenge as they’ve overgrown. Hanging baskets snd flowers are stunning at the entrance . Shop extremely expensive £1.50 for canned drink ! Ice Lolly £2.40 ! Wardens always wave snd say hello and chatty if they have time . Disappointing that warden not interested when alerted to 2 dogs loose on site and after 3 hours and holidaymakers doing research including calling dog wardens , the owner living half a mile away was found via Facebook. Would it have been their problem if the dogs had bitten a child ? It was boiling hot snd the animals were stressed but he wasn’t interested Very convenient site straight off motorway snd close to nice villages snd towns including lytham , St Ann’s , Wrea green snd further afield from Poulton snd Shackleton and we love the area hence why we come back time and time again Shame the site is now in need of a big tidy up to bring it back yk previous standards . Also all facilities were closed off at same time including no access to any toilet which is no good for people with issues

A perfect overnight stop

We booked an overnight stop at this site to break the journey on our way to the Lake District. We had a warm welcome on site and chose a lovely sunny pitch. The facilities were spotlessly clean and there was a small information room. The site is only short distance from the motorway making it a perfect site for a stop-over, although this obviously means there is some road noise (although it didn't bother us and we slept well. A great site and we will return.

Perfect for a holiday

This site is nice, clean and well looked after. The staff are friendly and always give you a wave or hello. The site is a quick 5 minute drive away from the heart of Blackpool and was perfect for my getaway. With shops close by and plenty of walks it was perfect. The only issues was slight traffic noise but this cant be helped. The other was it isn't close to any bus stops so have to either drive or get a taxi (the staff are very helpful in arranging this for you) All in all I give it a 9 out of 10

Easy to find - well managed and exceeded expectations

First time at this site and overall impressed. It is a flat site with good sized pitches which are easy to reverse onto. Facilities are excellent and very clean as is the whole campsite. Wardens are very helpful and polite. The only negative would be that you are quite a way from anywhere so you do need transport - one Motor-homer told me he had to take a taxi to get back to the site as the bus stop was some walk away. However overall an excellent site and a credit to the wardens. Would not hesitate to return.

Functional and friendly.

This is a very clean site with friendly and helpful staff and good-sized pitches. The site in general and (men's) toilets and showers were admirably clean and in good order. (The Light of My Life was not with me on this trip, so I cannot comment on the ladies' facilities.) One very minor quibble: shower curtains were missing from the men's showers (though the rails and hooks were there), though they were useable with just a little care. Is this a Covid-19 precaution? From the point of view of access the site is both well and badly placed. General access is good. Getting there is easy - just off a roundabout near the end of the motorway. (See other totally justified reviews about the very short final access via a narrow lane. Members should definitely not arrive before opening hours to avoid blocking the site entrance and public road.) The site is badly placed from the point of view of public transport. I was told that the nearest bus stop is thirty minutes away. Not an issue for caravanners and for motor caravanners who bring their own car, but for other motor caravanners not so good, if like me you both have a self-propelled van and are ancient enough to have a bus pass . Taxis are available. The site itself is functional and pleasant, but like many club sites, fairly boring. Not somewhere you'd go for the joy of the place itself, but a very clean and convenient place to pitch up. Ideal base for caravanners and for motor caravanners bringing a car along to visit Blackpool and the surrounding area. I'll certainly be back for one or two night stays when I have business in Blackpool.

Quiet site with excellent pitches

A lovely quiet site with good sized pitches. Toilet block is dated but perfectly functional and clean. Very helpful assistant site managers. Shame about the inconsiderate member who turned up before 12 noon when arrival time is 1300 hours and then blocked the entrance so you cannot get out, whilst they unhooked their car from the back of their motorhome. Club should make the arrival times the subject of an additional email when making a booking.

Another great stay here

Just returned home from an 11night stay on this site. Its our favourite site and we try to include it in any planned tour we do. We also can enjoy a stay here as a base for a relaxing time with everything we want to do within easy reach. The site is maintained in immaculate condition by the hard working wardens who are very friendly and helpful and always make it feel welcoming. Theres a little traffic noise from the nearby main roads over the weekends but hey, you cant have it all ways. Overall for what we like to do on a break we cant fault this site and its location in any way. The wardens team (or is it site managers now) are always cheery and friendly and ready to help with anything which makes a huge difference. Altogether it gives us a homely feel.

Great staff, lovely site

This is one of our favourite sites, well placed for all of the Fylde coast and local amenities. What really makes this site so good is the welcoming, helpful, friendly and considerate staff. They keep the site immaculate and work so hard to keep it that way. Thanks to Glen, Julie, Steve and Pauline, see you again soon.
