We were caught up in the chaos of Calais on Wednesday, fortunately we always travel via Eurotunnel so eventually we were transported to Folkestone. We arrived 3 hours later than planned and it was 10:30pm when we turned into the site to be welcomed by a security man with a smile, a barrier card and 'the envelope' so we were soon pitched up. Thank you, thank you Blackhorse farm staff for organisation that made a very frustrating day end on a more positive note. It is good to know that at the end of the day you would be there. Talking to other people on site the following morning proved that we weren't the only ones grateful; the staff must have done a lot of thinking on their feet to accommodate those coming in at different times to when they were expected and those who couldn't get away because there were no ferries to get on.
