May Bank holiday Break

Arrived on Friday at around 3:45 and had a pleasant greeting from the staff as always, in their temporary accommodation while the new office is being built. The site was pretty busy, and only a few pitches left.  After setting up, I took the dog for a walk.  The dog walk seems to be over grown, making picking up after your dog a difficult task. Sadly, a lot.of the pitches are plagued by stinging nettles, and so is the dog walk approach on both entrances.  I'm sure the staff are busy, especially with the construction works, but the usual high standards have slipped a little. On Saturday and Sunday, the weather was superb, and this attracted the kids to go outside and play, a couple of girls whizzing about on scooters outside our caravan was the tune for the afternoon, but this didn't bother us..... what did bother us was the blatant disregard for the 5 MPH speed limit on site.  We experienced no fewer than 6 foreign and British units race down towards the tent area, zoom round the car park and then drive off at speed.  The young girls would.have stood.little.chance against these selfish individuals. We will of course return to this site, as it is a lovely getaway, but it would be appreciated if people were more observant of the club rules, and remained below 5mph.
