Chose this site as it was really close to the tunnel - which is about 10-15 mins away. We did think it might be more of a transit type of site but when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. What a nice spot. Plus points: - little shop just over the road - facilities even though not mega modern, were pristine and spotless even at 9pm after a day’s use! The showers were a dream, really generously proportioned, lots of seating area and no damp flappy curtains here, just a sensible partition so our clothes were kept dry - dog exercise area was well though out and secure and so our pooch had the opportunity for a good run about before being in our van for the long journey ahead - smart, tidy, good size pitches, laid out in small groups, an area had eco planting and the tent area was lovely and flat - in fact all the pitches looked fairly, we didn’t need chocks but some did I think - great friendly tranquil atmosphere, didn’t feel transit-like at all - speedy check in We can’t comment on the nearby pub although it didn’t look that inviting, road outside busy, although the site was lovely and quiet. No negatives from our perspective, we will definitely return. Thanks for a great stay
