We're thrilled to announce significant investments to enhance your experience at Black Horse Farm Club Campsite, closing the campsite on 5 October 2025 when the works will commence. The campsite is due to reopen on 10 July 2026, however some ferry pitches will be available earlier in the spring of 2026 (as will the storage facility). Before the full July 2026 reopening, the ferry pitches will operate offering a non facility/service point only experience (with a 20% price discount to reflect this).
Find out more details on the exciting redevelopment plans at camc.com/redevelopments.
During the closure time you might like to try some alternative campsites nearby:

Stayed there one night on one of the ferry pitches. I was horrified. Barely a blade of grass — we may as well have pitched in a supermarket car park. Our pitch was next to a main road & noisy. Toilets dated. I’ve seen some grim sites in nine years... Show more

For every ferry transfer over Dover the campsite ist our first and the last stop. The facilities in the front room are not new, but clean. A pub is nearby so we can take the first and the last visit. The processing of the registration over the box is exellent

Facilities are tired and inadequate. The pitches are scruffy. There’s a lot of noise from the adjacent road. The site is very well situated for the Dover ferries, but I can’t think that anyone would choose to stay here for other purposes. Possibly the poorest club site we’ve visited

Just stayed the night before our Le Shuttle over to France. Facilities excellent and food in the local pub just down the road was good.

I have read the reviews and struggle to understand the negativity as I find that 99% of staff are helpful - as they are at Black Horse. We only use it for overnights, when we're crossing via tunnel or ferry. We don't like the bottom area so we have often... Show more

Excellent site for an overnight stay prior to departing or returning from France. Must be the most used wash and toilet block in the UK, really does now require updating. Don’t understand why the Black Horse Pub across the road is not promoted as it’s excellent.
