Good location

Stayed here for 6 nights in mid May this year and building works were proceeding without much disruption to the site. I do not believe that work will be complete by the end of May 2016 as reported in the Caravan Club June 2016 magazine .....or did they mean 2017....NO, surely not! As usual the reception was friendly, booking in quickly completed and a good pitch found close to one of the Amenity Blocks. Plenty of bunny rabbit activity on site at all times and they were all quite tame, even the youngsters. Bird song early morning and late evening was a joy with a fabulous blackbird serenading us on each and every day of our stay. We found that the site is not easily identified when approached from the south, the sign being partly obscured by shrubbery/hedging until one was almost on top of it. Maybe a kindly word with the local Council could keep the signage more clear. Also whilst building works are progressing new visitors beware of the very high and steep temporary ramps across the access roads adjacent to the main reception, as traversed at any speed and you're likely to give your caravan a severe jarring. We witnessed one caravan taking it at speed and the caravan wheels actually left the road!!!! These ramps carry temporary mains facilities to and from the building works by the site reception. Apart from those above we have no comments on the site, all being up to the usual CC standard with smiling and friendly wardens. The site is well placed for travel to Canterbury, Dover and Folkestone, either by car or bus. There is also a well stocked shop almost opposite the site entrance where most provisions can be found. We found TV reception the best encountered so far in fact I got all led lights lit up on the TV signal strength meter for the first time ever.
