Great location for exploring Berwick-upon-Tweed - it's an easy walk into town or there is a regular bus stop outside the site entrance. Good walks along the river as well as the town walls. The site itself is on different levels. The top level has great views, but is next to the main line railway track - light sleepers may need earplugs if you don't want to be woken at 06:00. Levelling blocks required on most of the pitches. The site road is quite narrow so units over 7m mat need careful manoeuvring onto some pitches. Access road is better if approached from the north - would have probably ground out our 7.7m motorhome if entering from the southern approach. Facilities are clean and in full working order. staff are very helpful and the information room is also very useful. Would certainly come back to explore more of the area. Mavi Turkish is a great restaurant (booking essential) and The Barrels pub is also worth a visit
