WELL WORTH A VISIT
Berwick is worthy of a visit, perhaps more for what is accessible further afield than for the town itself although the town deserves some time despite the evidence of economic downturn. The site description could be more honest about the immediacy of the train line location although we did not find this too intrusive. It is one of several factors that makes this a very restricting site for families with children, slopes and difficult site roads is another. Certainly the site is well cared for, maintained to a very neat and tidy standard, but the use of power blowers to return errant stones to the pitches seemed overly personal energy-saving, expensive on fuels, noisily intrusive and potentially damaging as stones did fly....but then I don't have to deal with this issue every day. Thanks for the welcome and assistance
