Wardens deserve the credit

An excellently maintained site. The wardens blocked access to early arrivals as the site was full and the access road narrow. We noticed the wardens were available for late arrivals and in good spirits, ensured all were bedded in. The site itself is tight with a narrow access and internal road. It seems the CMC has crammed in as many pitches as possible although there were patches of grass and hedges. There are views of the bay. The East Coast main railway line is adjacent to the site so you do get the noise from the trains. Berwick is a lovely town and well worth the trip. We watched a seal bathing in the river by the old bridge several days running. In addition to walking along the River Tweed, we also drove through gorgeous scenery to where it rises. Despite the train noise - which didn't bother us that much - it was one of only a few sites where we wished we had booked a longer stay.
