We love this site for what it provides. Walking access to Berwick, the Northumberland coast walk, Spittal village and beach. Inland Ford and Etal, Coldstream etc. As commented by others, the East Coast main line has frequent trains but from our pitch we did not find the noise obtrusive. My Grandson would love the trains! Generally the site needs a change in layout to make better use of the situation, (which is easier said than done) There are too many cul-de-sac's, which make choosing a pitch by walking around first essential. Our grass pitch was far from level and needed extra packing to level our van. The layout adds to the problems when new visitors arrive before 13:00, causing traffic and manuevring problems. Some pitches not long enough for modern long vans, which end up far too close to the access road. Do not let this put you off a visit. It is still a site we will return to, but it could be even better................
