Once was enough
We found this site very congested and cramped - we prefer a bit of space around us. We arrived at 12.57 as we knew we couldn't get on site until 1pm - what a queue! We couldn't believe it, seeing so many vehicles all down the access road that we had to park in the road!! I assume this queue is so that people can get a pitch with a view. We didn't use the toilet block as we use our own, so can't comment on that, but we did think another service point towards the south end of the site would be very beneficial, as we had to walk a fair distance for water and waste (and even further to the toilet block). The wardens were very nice and helpful after I mentioned that a selfish dog owner had let his dog foul on the grass by our car door. They dealt with it immediately, very kind but surely that's not in their job description!! This was the day after our visiting nephew, who lives in Berwick, had trodden in another pile of dog poo that had been deposited next to the wall bordering our pitch. Lovely!! We knew about the trains and really that was not a major nuisance, although the 5.30am one wasn't welcome! Wifi was supposedly 'Gold' but it was very bad where we pitched, even though we could see the mast just a couple of pitches away. The site was full, but then it seems this is normal for this site, yet the wifi system is woefully incapable of meeting demand. As has been mentioned by another review, nice but not for us.
