Lovely site, lovely area.
Just returned from a 7 night stay at Berwick Seaview. We had lovely weather for virtually the whole of the week. Site up to the usual CC standards. Wardens very helpful. Some of the pitches are very tight, especially when the site is full. We had a lovely view from pitch 48 at the top of the site with the railway line running behind. If you have a motor mover you will have a lot more choice of pitches with views as you can turn your van round to face the sea.
Be prepared for the noise from the trains which run several times an hour from 6 am til 11 pm. If you are a light sleeper take ear plugs, although by the second day we didn't notice them any more. The church bells below the site also chime on the hour, every hour, all night long!
Berwick is a bit tired and shabby but don't miss out on a walk around the ramparts which has great views of the surrounding area and the river with its spectacular bridges.
The site is a great base for visiting lots of places, favourites were Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses, St Abbs, Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Pease Bay, to name but a few. Drive across the chain bridge near the honey farm, that's an experience!
There is a beach for dog walkers within five minutes walk of the site.
An asda, and m & s food hall can be found within five minutes drive of the site.
We would definitely return to this site if we were in the area again.
