This popular site may need early booking but it is worth a visit. Many pitches have wonderful views though you may find yourself exposed to sea "breezes" at times. It is all worth it. The site is well kept and the area worth a visit. There is a bus stop at the gate if you do not want to take your car into town though parking didn't seem a problem. You can also drive down to the beach at Spittal if the weather is good, and it was for us. The trains were very close but somehow unobtrusive. (I loved the little herb garden.)
