Football stopover 2019
We spent one night here in July at the end of our three week summer trip. My team was playing against Berwick Rangers on the Tuesday night and I decided to go to the game. We had pitch 13 which has a clear view over Spittal and Berwick upon Tweed. It is one of the smaller non awning pitches on the site but our motorhome fitted fine for the one night. This is our fifth visit to this site and as a bit of a train buff I like the close access to the railway and I’ve been on sites which has been noisier than this site. We’ve always had helpful wardens at this site during our previous stays here. Access to the site can be tricky if you have a large unit to manoeuvre but the view is one of the best we’ve stayed at. My only opinion of the site is the toilet block could do with being upgraded to the standard of other sites we stayed at this year. The shower cubical are small and still have those white plastic stools instead of a fixed seating area within the cubical. The Wi-fi coverage is top class and the site in general good. Berwick has many interesting places to visit with an abundance of other options not that far away.
