Another first visit

This was our third and last stop on our Northern trip. Wasn’t sure what to except as read some poor reviews, wasn’t disappointed a lovely site, well laid out, clean, tidy and excellent facilities. Managed to get a lovely pitch with a sea view, the site is terraced on the hill side of Spittal overlooking the Tweed estuary to Berwick, can get a bit breezy, we were fortunate with the weather. Yes the train does run at the back of the site, but it didn’t bother us, they had passed in seconds, and wasn’t all night, have had more noise from a road. Berwick town is very interesting, parking is free, a bonus, lots to see in the area. We went to Bamburgh, Seahouses, Eyemouth and even went on the train to Edinburgh for the day, £40 for two return with a dog, great day out. A walk round the Town walls is very interesting, and Lowry apparently loved Berwick and painted quite a few pictures of the town. Of course site well up to standards and wardens very pleasant and friendly. A long journey back to midlands bit well worth it, hope to return.
