A lovely site in a great location

We visited this site at the beginning of the month as part of our Northumberland tour. It's a fairly exposed site and as we have a campervan with a pop-up roof we asked for advice on a sheltered pitch. It was suggested we used pitch 22 and although it had a sea glimpse and not a sea view, it was lovely and sheltered for us. Yes, the train line runs behind the site but the trains have come and gone in a few minutes - in fact after the first day we stopped noticing them and the site was far quieter than others we've visited which are near roads. The facilities are spotless and the wardens very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of walking trails - The Lowrie Trail, Castle Walks and Castle Parks trail in the local area. This is a great site and one we would revisit if we are in this area again.
