First time visit

Nice open site plenty space between pitches, excellent clean facilities. Unusual location close to beach and near to Berwick. Only drawback is adjacent to busy high speed rail link. Speed bumps on approach to campsite caution require. Nice to see wild bunnies running about site.

Wonderful site in an excellent location.

I spent six nights here, initially through snow and storms, and it was so cold the first night that the water taps at the service points froze! However, the toilet blocks were toasty warm and as clean as ever and all other services worked perfectly. The wardens couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and kindly loaned me a couple of tools to help with some technical issues I was having. Wonderful location, particularly for families as it's a short stroll to the beach and lots to do, with an excellent choice of shops almost on the doorstep. Some noise from the railway track right behind the site but lovely to watch the trains speed by. A good selection of pitches and all with a great view out to sea. I didn't want to leave and I'll definitely be back!

Good To Be Back

We arrived at Seaview on Friday the 16th March which was the first day of the new season. The drive up north from our overnight stop at Durham was pretty horrendous in strong gusting wind and heavy rain. Disappointingly this site had been closed through the winter, we had enjoyed the previous two Christmases here. Wardens Steve and Mark assisted by Lisa and Keith are now running this site and gave us a very warm welcome on what was a particularly cold and miserable day. The Saturday and Sunday of that first weekend saw snow, hail and subfreezing temperatures as the strong winds continued. Despite the terrible weather the site was kept running smoothly with no problems and the wardens were even out after dark salting paths and steps. The remainder of our ten night stay was in much nicer weather and we were able to admire the stunning view from this site. The Northumberland coast is a beautiful area and there are lots of interesting places to visit within easy reach with Cragside being one of our favourites. We had an enjoyable picnic by the lake there in the wintery sun. We have further bookings at Seaview later in the year but our first stay of the season will be quite memorable due to the extreme weather. Well done to the wardens for coping so well and being such a lot of fun.

Great view - great site

Arrived on site the day there were “Amber” warnings for snow in the NW & NE. Second, annual, visit. Only a few others on site and first 2 days too cold to go far - the wind was fierce and chill factor huge. Spent a few hours in the Albion pub across the road. Dog friendly and local prices (not tourist). It became my local on quite a few more nights. The rest of the week spent on the beaches along the coast from Alnmouth to Berwick with Pixie (Border Collie). Great site, lovely views, clean and tidy. Will be back again next year.

Seaside perfect

Just returned from another perfect weekend in Berwick. Every time we visit this location, it just gets better. Can't fault the view's. The site is clean and walkable to most of what you might need. It does have a rail line close by, we had no issues with the train, but did have issues with repairs being done Sunday morning at 3am. Still, not the fault of the site. Cant wait to return, sure wish it was open all year

GREAT FIRST VISIT

Stayed here with friends in August/September. Easy to find with directions in book. Wardens were friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Beautiful view of Berwick from our pitch. Took bikes and had a couple of pleasant rides out. Holy Island was only 15 minutes drive and Paxton House was about the same and well worth a visit. Would definitely return when next in area.

Perfect for our needs

Lovely site with really friendly, helpful wardens. We got a smashing pitch with lovely views and the facilities were particularly well kept, even by CC standards. We stayed to allow us to attend an event, it was a very pleasant walk into the town. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay!

Lovely site

Had a short stop on way to Scotland. Lovely site did not have pitch with view but ours was sheltered and we did have some significant winds. The spiral beach was lovely. Need to return for longer stay to do more exploring

OCTOBER VISIT

A return to Berwick Seaview - most enjoyable. The views are lovely, (if you have one) the town itself is very interesting and the trains, although frequent, didn't bother us at all. It's also great having a bus stop right outside the site to get to town. We were lucky on arrival and didn't have to deal with the 1.00 p.m. traffic jam at the entrance. I do think the Club has tried to squeeze too many pitches into this site, making it feel cramped in part, and definitely leaving insufficient room for arrivals. It also traps people in if they happen to want to leave the site around lunch time. The motorhome waste point is in the middle of the road after the barrier so one has no choice but to block the entire road whilst trying to fill with fresh water/evacuate grey water; the Members who unfortunately pulled up behind us while we were undertaking this endeavour were so nice and patient (thank you) but it's an embarrassing/hopeless situation. The radio playing in the toilet block annoys us; we'd rather have peace and quiet, but no doubt others will like it. I would just question whether the cost of the licence to play music in public is Club funds well spent?!

Comment from the Club

Many thanks for leaving a review. We appreciate your feedback and we have forwarded this on to the Regional Manager for his reference. We would just like to advise that there is no music in the toilet blocks at Berwick Seaview. We do have radio in the toilet/washroom facilities on some Club Sites but not currently at Berwick Seaview. We hope this clears up any confusion and thank you again for leaving a review.
