Great views overlooking the river and the sea

I have stayed here a couple of times in recent months and always get a warm welcome. The site sits up on the side of the hill, with the main train line behind the site. As I only have a small van, I always get a pitch at the front, so benefit from great views and less noise from the train. Its a nice walk into town across the bridge, but not perhaps more of a drive for those less mobile. Will visit again, for the views which change depending on the time of the year.

A well run site

We had another three week stay at Seaview in September, that being our third visit this year but due to other commitments and the site closing in November we will not to be able to return until next year. This is a site with fantastic sea views accross the mouth of the Tweed and has some really great wardens. Steve and Mike gave us some much appreciated help when we had to take our awning down in high winds due to some of the stitched ties breaking. They have proved themselves to be helpful and great fun as well as keeping the site in top shape along with assistants Lisa and Keith. They are all moving on to new locations after Seaview closes and we would like to wish them all the very best at their respective new sites. We had two Christmases on this site which were both really enjoyable, it's a shame the club now close this site down for the winter but we have put bookings in place for 2019. Looking forward to returning next year.

Avoiding Scottish Rain

Arrived and luckily got the best pitch over looking Spittal and Berwick and river estuary. Wifey me and 2 dogs a nice walk in to and around Berwick. We really enjoyed one of the most unique Bars we have ever seen. Up stairs an antique shop and bric n brac......you have to visit. I have forgotten it's name..but just 50 yes up the road from Angel Hotel. Lovely walking on Spittal Beach and both Hotel and Bars accepted us and the mini schnauzers. Will be back.

Lovely location with beautiful views

Stayed at it this site beginning September. Good location with beautiful views. Could walk into the centre of Berwick or down to esplanade or beach. We were able to cycle into Berwick also within a short taxi ride of golf course. Berwick had a good range of places to eat. Lovely clean facilities and we enjoyed our stay. One set of wardens were helpful - did not see other set of wardens in the week we stayed there. Will certainly return for another visit.

Lovely clean site

We stayed here for a week at the end of September. Beautifully kept site immaculate facilities. Bit disappointed with the location doesn't reflect the picture in the club location book. . Area is a bit run down at the beach front . Thank you to all the wardens who were so friendly and helpful and worked tirelessly.

1st time experience

Spent 3 nights here for the first time. Great views and easy walking into Berwick. Staff brill and facilities upto clubs usual high standards. Yes there is a railway line running to rear of site and we were pitched adjacent to it but it didn't distrurb us at any time.If you are noise sensitive ask for a pitch away from line lower on site.

The best holiday ever

We have just got back from 11 nights at Seaview. Yes it is a narrow site with a railway line at the back of it but we very quickly got used to the noise and stopped noticing it. The beach at Spittal is big, clean, quiet and dog friendly. The wardens were so lovely and friendly. The town centre is clean and well served with independent shops as well as chains. Alnwick and Bamburgh are within easy reach and a day out in Edinburgh by train is easy. Can I also recommend the dog house doggy day care and the seafood factory shop. We will be back.

Lovely site, quirky location

This was our second stay at Seaview because we really like it. It may not appeal to everyone as the location, on the face of it isn't the most appealing. The site is actually in Spittal, not Berwick and is right next to the East Coast Main line. Plus it sits between old Spittal and a newer housing estate. Trains run all day but the noise of the trains has never bothered us. Most pitches have a view over the Tweed estuary and we were lucky enough to see dolphins playing in the sea. Spittal (and Berwick) speak of faded glory. Spittal was once quite industrial but was also a seaside Spa. (Search for some elaborate houses). There is a 1930's promenade and a lovely beach which is perfect for evening dog walks. Berwick itself is about a 20 minute walk from the site. I recommend getting away from the main street and walking around the old town walls, or follow the Lowry trail to see some of the hidden gems of this historic town. The site itself is a good location for exploring Northumberland and the borders. Avoid Lindesfarne during summer holidays however as its what too busy! Edinburgh is about 45min on the train, making a day trip quite possible. As always, the wardens were great and the facilities spotless.

Ok for a stop off

We stayed here for 1 night on our recent epic journey north from the Midlands to Orkney staying at caravan club sites along the way. This was a convenient site to stay at with the usual quality facilities. Pitches were fine as you would expect and wardens friendly. There is a train track right along the site but as it was a Saturday night/ Sunday stay there weren't as many trains. The location whilst convenient is really in a residential area. A short walk takes you to Spittal sea front which to be honest has seen better days. Most things shut/ boarded up. Kids enjoyed a walk on the beach in the evening. Wouldn't recommend any paddling as the water quality signs showed it as 'sufficient' this year (just!) but also stated too poor to use for past 2 seasons! Bit worrying! Overall good for location near Berwick but not the best site for us.
