Stayed at Bearsted for 5 nights in July. A wonderful little site, conveniently situated, very tidy and very well maintained in every respect. The Wardens were friendly and helpful and the allocated pitches system worked well. The site is a credit to them. Perhaps the shower block could have more cubicles, but, on a very pleasant site, with good weather and an enjoyable time had by all, who cares. A highly recommended site and one to which we will definitely return.
Nice clean & Tidy Site
We have been staying here while our house was being built, in total on and off for about 6wks. The wardens are polite friendly and helpful and keep the site and facilities very clean tidy. There are many attractions within 20mins and to get to the coast takes around an hour. Highly recommended site!
very well kept & clean
we stayed for three night & really enjoyed the site
we had a very nice welcome & the reception area was very well kept with lovely flower every where
our pitch was very clean
the grass , hedges & every where else was very well looked after
the toilet block was also kept to a very high standard
there was a little road noise at times but apart from that we had a great stay & will be going back again
very handy site for Maidstone & the park & ride is cheap & close to the site
Convenient
A handy stopover for us on way to or from tunnel or queueing for Dover ports as very close to M20. They will eventually answer the phone, unlike Dover cc, so you can confirm. A lot of background road noise some pitches worse than others. Well tended site. Dog walk compound is just very bare soil (mud in wet weather) with some nasty bits - our dog tore it's paw pad so vets visit needed. Paid £27 for a night in July for the privilege of staying and abiding by most of the cc rules. Might justify a longer stay as quite a bit to do in area.
good last minute break
The site was not what my wife and I thought.....it was better. The site was spotless the facilities were a credit to the wardens and they were very helpful with any problem you asked of them.Could not fault our 4 night stay. The site is my registered site and it was the first time that we used it in 4 years as a member I would not hesitate to use it again or recommend to anyone.

Week Away
We stayed at this site to use it as a base to visit local attractions such as Canterbury, Dover Castle, Hastings and Leeds Castle. The site was superbly located for this purpose with all these great places within a 40 minute drive. We had pre-booked a disabled serviced pitch to accommodate our disabled daughter. The wardens were the friendliest we had ever come across and were very helpful. The facilities were cleaned to a high standard regularly in accordance with the rules of the club. There was also a fish and chip van on site on a Friday night. If you fancy a good meal as well as local ales I would recommend The Oak on the Green at Bearsted but make sure you book. We would definitely recommend this site for a weeks holiday if you like being kept busy visiting local historical places of interest.
Bearstead Review
Very welcoming Wardens and good facilities. Shame about the 1300 booking in time. Many one couple sites manage a 1200 booking in time.Mind you at least Wardens get a lunch hour with a 1300 booking in which a lot don't I guess. Cannot understand the reason for allocating pitches. Saw a small motor home occupying a hard standing, a twin axle caravan on grass along with a huge motor home. Thought the club rules were members choose on arrival.
Stupid opening hours
Anyone booking this site on the way back from the ferry ports, beware.
The site closes at 17.30.
If we had not caught an earlier ferry we would have had no where to stay.
Also many pitches are on sloping grass, not good to get on and off of.
Opening hours are 0900_17.30.
Why is this as many other sites open from 0800- 1900.
Totally unacceptable, come on caravan club, sort this out

Stopover for Eurotunnel 25th June
Great site, and very convenient for Eurotunnel or Ferries. Stayed overnight to catch an early channel train. Facilities extremely good, and warden was one of the best we've come across, helpful, informative, and ultimately apologetic for not being able to provide the booked hardstanding pitch. In fact we were asked to use the late night arrivals area, as several pitches were waterlogged following several days of rain. Appreciating our onward travel needs prior to arrival, we were given a place to stay, so were very grateful. Others had been turned away. Unsurprisingly it was the grass pitches that were the issue, and our hardstanding was occupied by a displaced outfit. Not concerned about our pitch as such, but I'm keep to suggest to the CC that more of the grass pitches are gravelled to ensure a greater overall occupancy, and member satisfaction? I'm sure the ongoing revenue and reputational loss outweighs the short term investment overhead?
Great location and superb wardens
We have recently stayed for the first time at this site, which is very easily reached from the M20. As soon as we arrived we were struck by how well the site and gardens were kept by the very pleasant and hard working wardens. The same applies to the washing/toilet facilities. The site is well positioned to visit the numerous NT and English Heritage properties in Kent, East Sussex and even east Surrey. The north Kent coast is also close. The site is surrounded by farmland but there is some road noise at times. The facilities, although immaculately kept, are somewhat limited in number which might be a nuisance when the site is full.
