Nice clean site

Stayed here several times "nice clean site". There is a child's play area but not much else for them to do. Handy for a stopover for the channel tunnel & ferries, can be a bit noisy with the M20 & the Eurostar train being close. Sorry to see Terry & Roz two of the best wardens the CC had, have now retired but wish them well & a long & happy retirement.

Great but could be better

Well, what can I say, we are very, very, very sad to see the wardens Terry and Roz for the last time at Bearsted. They have kept this site immaculate over the four years we have been coming here. Good luck for the future Terry and Roz, it was our pleasure knowing you. Now, as much as we love this site, it has gone down hill over the last few years, whether making it a members only site would help I don't know, but it's definitely gaining people that we don't want to associate with. Two, three or more caravans all together, taking over large parts of the grass areas, having loud get togethers in the evening, nasty, spiteful children, playing loud music because "we're on holiday" and generally all round nastiness.

Bearsted

Lovely clean and tidy site,  little road noise,  Leeds Castle only five minutes away and added bonus if you use your Caravan Club membership card on entry there is 25% off.  Will definitely return.

Excellent Stay

We stayed for 3 nights last week and had good weather. Bearsted is a small site and is kept to the highest standard. The only down side is the noise from the M20. The wardens were very pleasant and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would go again.

Clean peaceful site

Stayed 3 nights visiting daughter nearby and Leeds castle. Very clean site and facilities. Wardens helpful. Small dog walk next to fence. Larger park for walks about a kilometre away along main road. Very busy main road especially during rush hours. Dodgy then to get caravan out. Some road noise during night depending on direction of wind. A very large and interesting park about 2 km in direction of Maidstone - Mote Park. £1 for 6 hours car park, lake and dog walks etc. Would stay again.

Good site

My wife and I stayed on the site for three nights. The site is kept very clean and the wardens are very helpful. My only complaint is that we were on pitch 14 and it is a a good distance from the toilets that are situated by the reception, in bad weather one can get quite wet getting to and from them. If any one has difficulty walking then I would ask for a spot near to the facilities or you may struggle. Apart from that I have no complaints

Good clean site

Good level site. Impressed with standards of cleanliness, very friendly and accommodating staff - such a shame they're retiring! Shop stock running down (because of retirement). We did find the noise from the main road and the rail line disturbing at night but overall definitely worth another visit.

Not a friendly welcome

We rang the site during the day to say that we might be late. It was suggested that we might seek another site. We did arrive at 7.55 pm to be met with a surly member of staff. The check-in business and payment was done with the absolute minimum of conversation. This was in total contrast with our experience of other sites. The electrical connection required the plug to be twisted. We had not come across this before so had to do without mains hook up till the morning when our neighbour explained the procedure. I mentioned the problem in reception and was told it was not the standard procedure to inform campers of the issue. Alderstead was the only blot on our otherwise wonderful experience of club sites.
