Good for families

A site that believes it’s own marketing hype.

Please park outside and our guy will site YOUR caravan – Not for us thank you.. Please fill in the voting form for Practical Caravan 2015 Top Caravan site nominations – No thanks We’ll decide if you warrant my vote. Please note that you must leave your caravan in the car park – aesthetically pleasing for the management at Chew Valley but annoying for the paying public.  The eleven luxury! bathrooms are ALL unisex  so become overcrowded first thing in morning. No facility for cleaning the shower after use so late afternoon they are a no go area. Chew Valley must try harder. Bath Chew Valley is not anywhere near Bath a good thirty minute steady drive,. We were lead to believe the bus service to Bristol is OK ! Good points : staff friendly and helpful, ample sized flat pitches (without the car), beautiful nature area for wild life, great dog walking area for four legged visitors. Visit the Salt & Malt fish and chip shop  on Chew Valley Lake half a mile from site – highlight of our week. Overall: not for us I’m afraid although as the site was full with visitors willing to stump up for minimum of seven night stay I don’t suppose the owners care.
