Too many signs and obstacles!
We stayed here for 2 nights in March 2017.
Staff were very friendly and helpful as you would expect.
Our motorhome is 7.9 metres and we tow a smart car on a trailer.
First problem - the Motorhome Service Point is a drive in / reverse out set up so no good for us. We had to find a pitch, unhitch our car trailer and drive back to the service point. Same issue on leaving when disposing of grey water.
In addition we found driving round the site full of needless obstacles - little white plastic chainlink fences (pointless) set TOO CLOSE to roads and TOO MANY No Entry/One way/5MPH/ signs again far too close too the site roadways - it gave the site a cluttered look and served little useful purpose. We half expected to see garden gnomes! Other obstacles included wooden garden tubs set just where you need to turn! It may be ok for the wardens in their little tractors but not when you have a large motorhome and trailer. In addition there are numerous trees so the man made obstacles should be restricted in our view.
The site has a cramped feel and it was not busy.
There is some road noise and the site is beside a housing estate on one side and a lovely park on the other.
Try the Balbirnie Bistro - a short 10 minute walk in Balbirnie Park for a nice meal with no drink/driving issues.
So in conclusion - not really suitable for a large rig, and too many needless little plastic fences.
