Great site in good location
Just spent 4 nights here in early August. Arrived on a very wet evening so perhaps didn't choose our pitch well, we ended up under trees that dripped on to caravan and then when the sun came out the following day we were very much shaded for the rest of our stay. On the upside I like the woodland setting and space around the pitches (not a fan of sites that have rows of caravans like a car park). I had our 2 kids with us and while there isn't a play facility on site, there is 400 acres of parkland on the doorstep and a play park across the road in the village. Great site for dogs for the same reason, plus the spacious pitches for tying them up (dog not kids!). The shower facilities are warm and immaculate and the wardens very hard working at keeping everything neat and tidy on the site. Location is great for trips to explore Fife, 30mins max to St Andrews, Anstruther etc. There's a couple of lovely restaurants and cafes in Markinch but booking is recommended for weekend meals. My only complaint was a cockerel 'cock-a-doodle-doing' from a neighbouring garden from 4am. Nothing the site can do about this, and once ear plus were purchased (recommend silicon ones from Boots in Glenrothes!!) we all slept like logs. Will definitely visit again and try and get on the grass pitches at the far side of the site once they've dried out from our wet summer.
