We have stayed at this site several times. The facilities are modern and meticulously maintained and the staff are friendly and very helpful. Our main criticism with the site is that a lot of the pitches are under large, well established trees which not only create shade but can mean disturbed nights during heavy rain. Also note that there is no Wi-Fi on this site. The town of Markinch does not have much to offer but there are some excellent walks in Balbirnie Park (in which the site is situated) and the site makes an excellent base for exploring Fife. We are motorhomers and try to use public transport where possible. The railway station is only a 15 minute walk away with regular trains to Edinburgh or Dundee.
