We had a warm welcome on site and found ourselves a lovely pitch. The site is well maintained and the facilities, although old, are spotlessly clean. The Site Manager gave us clear directions into the town and it's an easy walk though the car parks behind the site. The site is near the town centre but it was surprisingly quiet - most of the noise we encountered were from a family on the site! Ayr, like many towns we've visited, is a bit run down, but the seafront is more appealing. It's also easy to catch a train to Glasgow, which is well worth a visit.
