Site Appraisal

Just spent several days at this lovely site, which is in an ideal location to visit the seaside town of Ayr. Unfortunately our stay was spoiled by the incessant barking of dogs of varies sizes and breeds continually barking as you walked passed. The dog owners seem oblivious to the noise which makes the matter worse! Please note, don't walk on the grass, there is dog excrement waiting to be trod on. On a positive note, perhaps the poor wardens should ask campers 'do you have a dog?', and then issue them with a flyer explaining the club rules. Will we back, I doubt it.

Wardens generally ask arrivals the dog question and then hand out the Dogs on Sites leaflet if appropriate.

Did you speak to the warden about the issues you encountered?

Merlin - you made the same sort of comment almost exactly a year ago. And I'll make the same sort of observation in reply - that is that reading the most recent reviews before yours there is almost universal praise for the cleanliness and maintenance on the site.

I don't know the site at all but I wonder if the others can all be wrong?

I see you started a forum thread on the subject last year, Merlin, and in the course of that thread it became evident that you hadn't bothered to speak to the wardens about your concerns.

The staff can’t act if they’re not made aware so it’s no wonder you're still finding the same problems - even if no one else seems to.

You should act, rather than write about it.
