Lovely Site in Great Location
We spent 8 nights here in early August.
The site is ideally located a short (10 - 15 minute) walk from the town centre of Ayr. The walk is a very nice riverside route.
The site itself is neat and tidy and very sheltered, which we needed during the 50mph gusts of wind we got on the first weekend.
There is one toilet block on the site which was left clean by the wardens but we felt the squeegee mops could have been better for people to clean up after themselves.
You need to be careful using a Sat Nav to find the site as ours kept trying to take us down an access road which is now closed.
This is an ideal location for seeing anything in Ayr and slightly further afield. You are within 45 minutes of the centre of Glasgow and close to tourist attractions such as the Robert Burns Trail or Culzean Castle.
