We just popped in for 2 nights as we had a funeral to attend. Been several times to this site and it's just about handy for everything. Ayr is only a few minutes walk along the river bank and a few more minutes will get you to the beach. If you want to take the car there's plenty of FREE parking on the promenade. The site is well laid out and very well maintained but he toilet block, although clean enough, is a bit dated and could do with a make over. Don't let that put you off because everything else is perfect. A quiet site just outside a City centre. Perfect.
