Another great site

Stayed for 4 nights in early April 2015.  Used it as a base for visiting National Trust properties for which it was perfect for us. Ayr is only a short walk away and we enjoyed seeing Great Tapestry of Scotland as well as Robbie Burns [everywhere] and isle of Arran = beautiful. Pristine quiet site run by very helpful wardens make it a perfect site for our next visit.

a wee gem

Stayed here for a week at Easter, wardens were great , really friendly and very helpfull. The site is well laid out with spacious pitches, toilet block is a bit dated but kept vey clean and tidy. Easy walk into town centre along river side, ( about 10/15 minutes). Already rebooked for May bank holiday, give it a visit, a wee gem.

Fantastic base for visiting Ayr

On arrival a little apprehensive about choice of site because of close proximity of university buildings, however, once sited on a great corner site near the children's play area, any doubts were quashed. Site is only a short walk along the riverbanks into Ayr town and only 25 minute walk to beach area.  The wardens for this site were very helpful and the toilet and shower block, although in need of updating, were kept in immaculate condition. Ladies facilities would benefit from extra showers in place of some of the personal washrooms.  We will definitely be back to this site at some point in the future.

Ayr Craigie site

This is great site for travelling around Ayrshire and all the pitches are of a good size and well laid out. My only problem with this site are the toilet facilities - they let the whole site down and are very tired looking. When you see improvements made to toilet blocks on many other Caravan club sites it's time that Ayr had a make over - the showers are in a poor state and the heating system is not very good. Other than that a very pleasant site to stay on

Lovely central site

A lovely site within walking distance to Ayr Central . Also cycle paths along the river to the esplanade. The site was clean and the shower block immaculate.  The staff were friendly, helpful and informative about the local area. This must be one of the few Caravan Club sites where the staff are efficient without being overly strict which made our stay very pleasant.

Excellent

Just back from another stay at this great site on 20-22 March. As usual the site and facilities were immaculate and the staff brilliant as ever. My kids love this site. Staff can't do enough to help and have a great knowledge of the area to advise things to do and places to go. Back again in a couple of weeks.

Spring 2015

We stayed at Ayr Cragie Gardens for 8 nights this March, this is our second visit to this site.  The site is situated in a beautiful setting, ten minutes walk to Ayr town and a good base for sightseeing.  The wardens are extremely friendly and helpful.  The site is spotlessly clean and very well maintained.  Whenever we visited the toilets or the showers they also were spotless.  Our boxer dog also enjoyed his stay and the lovely walks we had around the site.  We will definately be back, it's well worth a visit.

March 2015 visit

Spent three nights at the site in March 2015. The site is easy to find and in an excellent location. It is just a few minutes walk from the centre of town, with easy access to shops and the seafront. The site itself was very clean and the staff very friendly. There were two of us and a dog. Excellent dog walk along the river going out of town (starting just outside the site). Took a long walk south along the seafront and beach on one of the days. On another, walked to Troon and got the train back. Would definitely recommend this site. There is plenty to do within the town itself, there are many places of interest within a short drive and there are some good walking areas close by.
