love coming to this site have been many times .wardens very friendly and helpfull .they keep site in really good condition .toilet block always clean and tidy only draw back is toilet block could do with an upgrade.we will certainly be back

Love this Site

Returned from the opening of the new season and what a welcome we got from the wardens and the new assistant wardens who welcomed not just me and my husband but our new addition our puppy Skye. We love how close this site is to the town, beach and local supermarkets are not far away at all. You can easily walk in to Ayr from this site. We love how well kept the site is and teh wardens do an amazing job. We need to make sure that the local council allows this site to remain open as it brings a lot of money into the town and plus its a great location especially for people in the west coast who like to come away on a friday for the weekend otherwise we wont have much left. Please remember whatever is going on in the background its nothing to do with the wardens they are they to help us and keep the site looking good. This site is also good for families as there is plenty of walks and things round about for them to do. We love this site as its only 40mins away for us finishing on a friday and we couldnt ask for better wardens (all at this site have and are brilliant).

Brilliant and friendly site

Spent two weeks here while visiting family. Lovely staff that kept the site in pristine condition. Only bad thing was leaving when it closed for winter. Close to the town centre in a quiet area.

Great for Exploring From

I found the site quite small and hemmed in. There was no real on site dog walk which led to some owners just letting there dogs go around the internal perimeter doing there business.. We based ourselves for three days at this site to use it to explore the Isle of Arran. We personally would not like to use the site for a holiday but it makes a great transit site so is very useful

Stop SPEEDING!

This is a great area to visit. The staff were friendly and helpful. The site and toilet block are extremely clean and tidy. Culzean Castle is a must see and Robert Burns birthplace is close by. But I would appeal to members to reduce the speed to 5mph as instructed as I witnessed many members driving in excess of 30mph, even while towing a caravan on site, even though there were children playing on site.

Hidden Gem

Lovely peaceful site in the heart of Ayr. Easy access to the town centre and coastal walks. Beautifully kept site that is hidden away between the race course and the university. Visit to the site and area is highly recommended

The Fresh Ayr

This is a well kept site, spotless facilities and a great location. Great walks along the river and very close to Ayr town centre.

Ayr Model Railway Show 2017

This has potential to be one of the clubs top Scottish sites it being in Ayrshire’s main resort. It’s close enough to the town centre, transport links and the main facilities Ayr has to offer. We were there for the annual model railway show at the Citadel down at the quay side. I’m a member of the Stirling and Clackmannan District Model Railway Club, we had a working layout on display at the event. Rather than travel the 140 mile round trip each day we based ourself at the club site. The main issues we have at this site are, access at the entrance when booking in, the rather out dated toilet block, poor tv reception. It’s a good location as a base to tour the coastal side of Ayrshire and it’s many places of interest.
