We booked this site as we had a nearby wedding to attend. On arrival staff were friendly and helpful, booking in was quick and easy. We were given the option of several pitches, so only ourselves to blame for picking one that was in the shade in the morning (pitches 30 & 31) Facilities were ok, it’s only a small site, so with only 2 showers in gents and two in the ladies, we found this adequate and had no problems. In fact showers were lovely and hot with good pressure. From the site, it’s a short walk into the beautiful village of Ashwell, a few shops and a couple of nice pubs, there is also a mobile pizza trailer in one of the pub car parks, we ordered one and ate it in the pub, very reasonable price and did a roaring trade with pub clientele. Also recommend the bakers… Ashwell spring is just before the Three Tuns pub, idyllic location.
