Very helpful and friendly wardens. Ashwell Village has good pubs, but, a bit lacking in shops (we were in Motorhome, so, local shopping an advantage). The site is very well kept. Good cycling (which we enjoy), although, you need to choose your route with some care, because there are some steep hills! Warden was very helpful with this. The only downside (which, to be honest has nothing to do with Ashridge Site), is, "why do people have to let their dogs bark so much, and why can't they clean up after them". The problem of dog fouling was not on the site, but, the lane outside of the site was a minefield.
