We stayed on this site with our dog for 8 nights. The site was full almost constantly and only the grassed area outside the main barrier was available when we arrived. We were unsure at first but it soon became apparent that this was actually a good thing for us. There are good dog walks right from the site to open fields. We were a little irritated by the large number of little yapping dogs but nothing the Wardens can do about that! It certainly isn't an issue for us returning - as the benefits of the site far outweigh that minor grumble. The site was well maintained and the Wardens did a good job to keep the site Covid compliant. Ashwell village is a short stroll away and has an excellent coffee shop, baker and butcher. The visit by the Thai food vendor -- Fellowes Fayre - was an added bonus. We'll be back.
