A great small site close to the village of Ashwell so good for Motorhomers. In Ashwell itself, only one of the three pubs has a permanent landlord and is serving food, but the shops (bakers, butcher, pharmacy and coffee shop) are good and there is a petrol station. The village shop is basic, and closes 1.30pm until 3pm in February at least. There is a fantastic farm shop just a mile (off road walk) away, and there was a community pub in the next village (one of the Mordens). The whole area is great for walking and cycling.
