A good, clean all round site

We enjoyed our stay at the Alderstead Heath site, the warden was friendly and welcoming even though we were quite late in the evening (just before closing) all the facilities were tidy and the wardens kept them clean even though the site was full. We used the site to access the England Scotland rugby game at Twickenham....easy journey from Coulsdon station, change at East Croydon and Clapham Junction, otherwise straight there. On the Sunday we tried to go to Chartwell, but that was signed as closed although the National Trust book says it should be open, so we carried on to Hever Castle which was very interesting and well worth a visit. The only downside to the site is the access, you do need to read the directions in the site book as the other lane is very narrow. From the M25 you almost seem to go around mother Browns kitchen before you arrive, although a camper van or short unit might reduce the distance if the road isn't busy by doing a U turn as you travel up the Croydon Road, but care would be needed as that road is often very busy.
