I have been coming to Abbey Wood for a number of years and love each visit. It is a little haven of tranquillity ( apart from the odd siren) and you are surrounded by lots of large trees, great if you prefer shelter- although there are plenty of sunnier plots. The staff here are so friendly are really helpful and the site is well looked after. You could come here if you wanted some R&R or wanted to venture out. As other reviews have said , the Elizabeth line is only10 minutes walk away with direct lines to all the major sights and shopping areas of London town. My last visit, I went to BST at Hyde park - et some friends there and walked back from the tube to the site myself - felt perfectly safe. The only thing that made me jump was a fox that darted from behind a car to avoid me !! If you need to top up with provision, there is a good size Sainsbury located a couple of minutes walk behind the Tube station. This certainly will not be my last visit to this site.
