We stayed here for 3 nights before heading to Europe. The site is superb although getting there from the north via the A1/M11 was a little disconcerting due to the A12 and A2 skirting central London and via the Blackwall Tunnel. We had to cut our short our stay after 1 night but returned again for the 3rd night and this time came in via the M25 from Dartford - an easier route, but neither journeys take you within the London Congestion Charge area. You do need to check that your vehicle can be driven within the London Low Emission Zone though and this can easily be done online. The site itself is situated in mature woodland and pitches are located on different levels. It’s very peaceful and tranquil with plenty of wildlife (foxes, grey squirrels, bats etc) and an array of birds (including wild parakeets) to entertain you. Facilities are also excellent, very clean and the site is secure at night with locked gates. The wardens/staff were first class and thanks to the duty warden for letting us out the gates early to catch our Eurotunnel train. We’ll definitely be back to enjoy the site and explore London. There is a rail station about 10 mins walk away and a lovely woodland site for dog walking nearby 👍
