Yorkshire Escape

Initally this site looks well kept with flowering chestnuts lining the approach road which is easily accessible. There are sheep with lambs and the view of the vale of Pickering from the caravan window is well worth a look on a clear day. Unfortunately there was no mention in the handbook of this being a storage farm for caravans and also that there were workshops where motorbikes were brought daily for service. This created unwanted noise as well as The CL not being kept tidy and organised with no cleaning of the fresh waste water and chemical toilet waste during our stay of 14 nights. The recycling and rubbish facilities are poor and evident is litter from the farm /CL managers and everyday there was movement of caravans in and out of storage,This reduces the peace.Considering it is £25 a night it is overpriced for what it offers.Location wise you definitely need a car even to be able to get the bus as the site is a considerable way from the main road.Positives were the view the quiet evenings with the dark skies and the nearby forest to walk the dog.
