A lovely little cl site, well positioned for touring round Derbyshire and the dales. The entrance to the site is easy to find and access is very good. A little post box is sited by the gate with loads of information leaflets. Owner is very nice and welcoming, came to see us the first night and didnt see him again until just as we were leaving. The quarry/concrete works just up the road didnt bother us but if you are looking for total peace and quiet you wont find it during the day, a lot of road noise in daytime along with noise from the farm. Evenings were very quiet though so no issues there. Lots of sheep around so if your dogs are reactive to livestock you will have a problem. The grass could have been cut more regularly and cleaned away as well. It was a little problematic finding yourself covered in long grass cuttings as the grass was always wet and long. lovely areas to walk but be aware that although there are grass verges the traffic also thunders past as you are walking, cars as well as the lorries. We will visit again. The site also needs updating as the prices are now £12 per night for 2 adults.
