Lovely large field. Slightly sloping but still able to put the awning up. Great views from our position at the top of the field. The owners are really nice people, friendly and helpful. We followed the directions given at the end of a 270 mile drive. The last 2.75 miles were single track with only passing places suitable fo 2 cars to pass. Did not meet anyone. As I was concerned about the return trip the owner Mrs Evans kindly offered to drive on ahead of me down the single track. A very kind gesture but in the event our neighbours were going out that morning and carried out that duty. Only met one car. There is very little traffic. We stayed 9 nights 16th to the 25th of April.
We stayed here for five days. The road access was very narrow but well worth the beautiful view and peace, warm welcome.
We loved this site, sometimes you could hear a pin drop it was so peaceful. Just the sound of sheep and birds, what more could you want.
Lovely walks for our dog. The Royal Oak at Carrington, one of the oldest pubs was a real gem. Sunday lunch was just like eating at home, fabulous. They were also dog friendly.
Will return to this site loved Shropshire.
Just spent a week in total tranquility on this splendid CL- great location for walking on the Long Mynd, and surrounding hills, and delightful field. Lovely views, welcoming owner and clean, if basic, toilet.
Absolutely perfect if you seek peace and quiet.
This is a lovely site and is perfect if you are looking for tranquillity and grand views across Wenlock Edge. Its has a relatively gentle slope and lots of space for 5 vans. Pat is lovely and the facilities although basic are sparklingly clean. Its a great location for exploring the Shropshire Hills being close to Church Stretton with excellent road links to Shrewsbury and Ludlow.
Mobile phone/internet access was variable but this wasn't a problem at all as we were on holiday! We wanted a base for walking and couldn't have chosen better with the quiet lanes providing great walking access around Cardington and being approx. 6 miles from Church Stretton. Access is not an issue as large tractors with farm equipment have to use these lanes They are narrow but when we met someone coming the other way they just reversed with no problems/hassle. We only met 2 other vehicles in the surrounding lanes in the 5 days we were there! A smashing site with the facilities we wanted in a great location. What more could you want - in fact we are going back very soon....
