First Class

Just back from a stay at Woodmill Farm. A warm welcome greeted us accompanied with a large portfolio of everything there is to do in the area (very thoughtful). The site is very well kept, tranquil and great views. We will return. Thank you.

warm welcome

Very warm welcome from farm owners. Easy to find and access. Large hedged field with choice of hook up points. Folder with useful info and places to visit very useful. Quiet, peaceful site. Our first time using a CL - if all like this we will be using them more. Thank you for a lovely six days.

2nd time around

We have just returned from our 2nd visit to this site and was just as we remembered it!  Lovely, clean, tidy and the welcome is just as warm as before. Good food can be found at the pub which is not too far away.  No doubt we will be visiting the site again in the fullness of time.

Well planned CL

A good size field with EHU nicely spaced around the edge giving well separated pitching. Good access to field. Very friendly welcome. Ideally situated for visiting the National Memorial Arboretum.

Peaceful

This CL is a good sized field within the farm rather than the boundary, so there is no road noise. The owners were very friendly and the information pack provided was very useful. There is a pub within walking distance and two more in the village. It is only approx. 15 minute drive from the National Memorial Arboretum (well worth a visit). If you would like a peaceful, restful break this is the CL for you.

Bank holiday weekend

What a find. A great site with a lovely view of the countryside. Sue and Eric were warm hosts. Sue was waiting to show us to the site and even though four vans were on site we still had a choice of where we wanted to pitch up. The guide book provided for each van was so well put together and all leaflets were current. We will defiantly become regular visitors. Even the weather didn't put us of.

Super find!

Lovely peaceful site set back from farm and road. Electric points well spaced out so plenty of space for each caravan. Water point, Grey water and elsan are best I have come across on a CL. The foresters pub/restaurant is a brisk five minute walk with huge portions of pretty good food. Owners nice and friendly.  Lots to explore locally.   We will be back.

Perfect peace

This is a lovely little site, situated between Burton and Lichfield. The owners are very friendly, and will supply a book with places of interest etc. Footpaths surround the area, so plenty of walking, and many places to visit round about. There are two pubs within easy reach, both doing good meals, and a couple of shops in village close by.The site slopes slightly, and is always well looked after. The entrance is easy to negotiate, and elsan ,water and rubbish facilities are well placed, the owner having gone to the trouble of building a wall around each. The site is very quiet , and perfect for a relaxing break.

A little Gem

Very peaceful "Adults Only" site, site is sloping so you will need levelling blocks. 2 pubs are close by, but you may need your car. good entrance and exit. grass pitches no hard standing, pitches are well spaced out with 1 water tap, refuse bin (wheeled) and toilet waste with tap within the pitched area. Owners are very nice and can not do enough for you. They will not bother you, but are there on hand if needed. walking is possible through their land and public right of way into Yoxall, where you will find one of the pubs, both pubs serve food but you may need to book first (The Golden Cup, in Yoxall village is very popular) there is a shop close to the pub which is a general store, so most things can be bought there. You can also stock up on your wild bird food as they sell most seeds at reasonable prices
