What an amazing site.

Clean, tidy, well organised level pitches. Woodland walks approx 100 metres away. WiFi on site but no data roaming. We will most definitely be back. Thank you Christopher.

What a Superb Place to visit

Following the article in the magazine about the wood working weekend organised here by the owners Chris and his wife Nicky. I booked to attend the course. What a brilliant weekend this was. Firstly the site is beautiful. All 4 pitches are hard standing with water and electric hookup. They are sufficiently apart to give privacy but close enough to make friends. Arrival is down a short small lane but this is not a problem. The lawned areas a meticulously kept and the pitches are nice and wide. As with other CL's there are facilities to empty waste. Recycling is catered for well. The course was brilliant. Chris is so enthusiastic and has such an eye for detail. A wonderful barbecue was prepared on the Saturday where the course participants are welcomed over to Chris and Nickys home. Our dog was also welcomed and enjoyed socialising with Chris and Nickys lovely Westie. While I was on the course my wife and dog explored the ample walks in the locality. There are too many to do in one weekend. A return visit will be a must. I cannot recommend the site and the course enough.

Absolute gem of a CL

This is an absolute gem of a site. Great location, wonderful setting and extremely well laid out. All you need for a few days away from it all in your self-contained motorhome. Just sit back and relax in the peaceful surroundings. Quick access to a plethora of walks straight from the site in the nearby woodland and Wye valley. Easy access to public transport (bus) from Trellech and a very handy local pub - The Lion Inn. St Nicholas Church is absolutely amazing and full of interesting historical facts. A must for a visit during your stay and all within a comfortable distance walk from the site. A very friendly and warm welcome from Christopher who is very knowledgeable and accommodating. This is a perfect site where much thought has been given to its layout and what it provides. We will be back and have already recommended to friends.

Fantastic CL

Absolutely superb new wee campsite. Pitches were spacious and beautifully presented. Site was private down a quiet country lane and Christopher and Nicky (and their Westie 'Woodhall' gave us a lovely welcome. Super walking from site in woodland and quiet lanes or cycling to go further afield. This perfect little site just for motorhomes and adult only is how all sites should strive to be! Just perfect.

Just perfect....

We arrived, having been given accurate directions, to this wonderfully secluded site. On entering the site, it was apparent this was carefully laid out and beautifully maintained with serviced pitches and level plots (no need for a spirit level). We were met by Christopher and he checked we were happy on our 'Yew' plot and informed us of all the amenities and local sights and walks. As the site is relatively new, we were the only motorhome staying for the weekend and it was blissfully quiet. However, there is plenty of room and even on a full weekend, you would have your own space to spread out. We did 2 walks which were convenient and scenically stunning started from Woodhall. We shall be returning and have enquired about the woodwork workshops which Christopher runs on site (see May 2024 Club Magazine). Many thanks to Christopher and Nicky.

Hush, hush

One of those "don't mention it, everyone will go there and there won't be room left for us"sites. However it would be a travesty not to share this with others. Beautifully maintained. Large serviced pitches. Excellent Wifi. So peaceful. Countless walks and cycle routes in a lovely part of the Wye Valley. Christopher, the Owner, is very welcoming and extremely keen for you to enjoy your stay. Been twice in the space of two months and already thinking about our next trip to Woodhall Field. Can't recommend highly enough.

Lovely place to stay

We arrived for the bank holiday weekend, and on arrival we had a very warm welcome by the hosts. Our first impressions was WOW, what a gem of a find. The site itself, is excellent and very well maintained, with 4 lovely large hard standing pitches, which had electric, water and grey waste at each pitch. Included in the rate is also WIFi. nearby is a local pub, which serves food too. The site is peaceful, quite, and we highly recommend this site, and we shall return again in the very near future.

Beautiful site in a woodland setting

My wife and I stayed on this lovely site for 1 night on our way home to South Wales. We were met by the owner Chris, who showed us to our pitch and made sure we knew where everything was and couldn't have been more helpful. The site is probably the best CL we've been to, set in stunning countryside in the Wye Valley, with new hardstanding pitches in lovely well manicured grounds, Nicky was actually weeding when we were there!! In the afternoon we walked to nearby Trellech, about a mile, to the Lion Pub, which was busy as on a Bank Holiday Monday. Despite this and no reservation, we had a very nice meal / wine at decent prices. All in all a jewel of a site, great location in the Wye Valley, plenty of places to visit and very welcoming and friendly owners, we'll definitely be back. Thanks Paul and Shelley

A little piece of heaven!

Having had a miserable experience at another (club) site, it was sheer bliss to pitch up at Woodhall Fields. Beautiful, spacious and fully serviced pitches. It really is peaceful with birdsong and the odd car in the lane... Christopher's communication was spot on prior to arrival (including warning about the route in!) and a personal, friendly welcome too. The Lion Pub is well worth a visit ~ we went on Easter Sunday with no booking, expecting them to say "fully booked" but as it was late in the afternoon, we were lucky and got a table and the food was delicious. Service great too; excellent value for money and my husband said, possibly the best roast dinner he's ever had! There are walks directly from site; we have 2 dogs and they loved Ninewells Wood (I was a little less enamoured as it rained non-stop and was muddy!) And Monmouth was a delightful discovery ~ what a sweet place with plenty of history. Having a 5 tonne outfit, we have to look for hardstanding and have been disappointed in the past with what can be classed as this ~ but Woodhall Field is a proper "mini-site" with excellent facilities. We will definitely be back.

Peaceful overnight stay

We stayed here in January 2024 for one night after campervan had been in storage for winter. Owners Chris & Nicky were so helpful and welcoming, particularly in booking as the CAMC website was down after being hacked! New site with fully serviced hardstanding pitches. Surrounded by woodlands. Easy access to several local walks and sections of the Wye Valley Walk. We walked to Tintern for a pub lunch. Several local pubs also accessible, you can walk to the pub in Cicelyford. Really enjoyed staying at Woodhall Field.
