Absolutely perfect site run by a fantastic owner.

Having arrived at blessed retirement I was looking for a base for a number walking trip of Northern Norfolk. On that basis I did my research looking hard at locations and their environments. I didn't want a site with road noise as have a pop top caravan and wanted my nights to be idyllic and undisturbed. I also wanted as pleasant surroundings as possible and so (eventually) came across Wood View CL. The owner Alex is in every way a great bloke and gave me a fab welcome, saying I could pitch anywhere in the very large field I wanted. He has on hand extension cables for those wishing to pitch at a distance from the 5 hookups and so I chose a spot in the higher corner of the field with a sunset view over the wheat fields. Wherever you choose to pitch you are an appreciable distance from others. Alex is keen to assist and always on hand via message if needed, yet also leave you alone to enjoy the peace after ensuring you have everything you need. I have never been happier on a CL (and I have stayed at a great many). I found 3 long walks directly from the site via the back field right of way (to Cromer and the idyllic village of Southrepps inclusive) and the access to everywhere within this beautiful county is super easy from the site. The entire North Coast up to Hunstanton is beautiful and villages like the idyllic and quirky Happisburgh and coast are a short drive. There is a good fish and chips shop, pub & reasonably priced Spar just a couple of minutes drive away and great farm shop selling lots of lovely stuff directly across the road. All the large supermarkets you could wish for It was very wet during most of my stay and in all honesty I didn't have a problem with my car. The site is generally well drained and Alex always keeps it well mown with clippings removed. I guess what says it all are the people who I spoke to staying at the site... "Oh, we always come to this one" being the mantra. I'm not surprised and I'm coming back (just please don't bag my pitch overlooking the fields)...

Great Place to Stay

What a find. A large well maintained and peaceful site. Easy access to site and pitches, levelling blocks required but not a problem. Plenty of space, units are not on top of each other, so if you like watching what other vanners have for breakfast, lunch and dinner this is not for you! Great location for beaches, Cromer and exploring the rest of the North Norfolk Coast. Plenty of local village pubs in surrounding area that serve great food, beer and wine, all very dog friendly as well. National Trust houses and parkland are within easy distance. There is a farm shop opposite the site which has a great selection of fresh produce daily, a good selection of Norfolk cheeses and Homemade pies which were delicious. There is also a restaurant which will be open again when they source a new chef! All in all a perfect place to stay. Very friendly welcome from Alex, on hand if you need any information or help. We will definitely be going back.

Our Fourth Visit

This is the fourth time we have visited this lovely site and have had nothing but pleasant and positive experiences. It is well-placed for visiting locations of interest and the beautiful coastline in north Norfolk and close to a cafe, farm shop and service station with shop. It is about 5 miles from the bustling town of North Walsham which is well-served with shops and supermarkets (Lidl, Sainsburys and Waitrose). All is very well maintained on site and you will always get a warm welcome from Alex and his family. We will be revisiting this pocket jewel before long.

Ease of arrival/welcome

A restful week.

Booking by email we realised that Mr Brackley and his son Alex were going to make us most welcome. On arrival they came out to greet us, led us to our pitch and explained the location of all the services. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The sit is easy to find, access is via a wide driveway with loads of room for parking up while booking in. The lovely grassy paddock is surrounded by mature trees and hedges and is sheltered on all sides. It has such a relaxing feel to it and, although the pitches have slopes it is still relatively easy to level up with chocks. Services were faultless as was the overall tidiness and cleanliness of the site. We are looking forward to a return soon. The location is handy for many of the attractions of North Norfolk.

Why we enjoy our stay at Wood view

Mr Brackley and his son Alex are so welcoming and helpful. The site is slightly sloping but nothing that a standard levelling block can't solve. The scenery is beautiful. we have always found this to be a very friendly site and have met many lovely fellow campers.
