This site is in a great position with easy access to Whalley Warm & Dry shop and also near to Ribble Cycles. There are lots of walks nearby & a pub. Access is good and the pitches are large & gravelled. Unfortunately the views are rather spoiled by the car graveyard at the bottom of the site. There is 1 toilet but the toilet paper was never replenished during my 2 night stay. The shower is a hefty £1 extra on top of the £20 night fee. It was not cleaned during my stay - there were discarded empty shampoo bottles etc left in the shower tray. I did try to contact the owner about these issues but no one was around and they did not respond to my text ( their preferred method of contact). At these prices I expected better and decided to use my own facilities instead. The place looked uncared for which is such a shame as it has a lot going for it. On arrival, there is no indication of where & how to pay - I asked another camper. The owner did not appear to be around. I will probably stay at Clitheroe CC club site next time - cheaper & a better standard. I had hoped the owner would have responded to me and rectified matters, so that I didn’t have to leave a poor review, but unfortunately that did not happen.
